STRENGTHS--This focuses on the internals of the organization--aspects that are positive for the company, such as experienced and knowledgeable people, offerings of the firm, geographical location.

WEAKNESSES--This focuses on the internals of the organization---those areas that are deficient. This can be culture issues, lack of knowledgeable, dedicated and trained staff as well as management.

OPPORTUNITIES--This focuses on the external environment to the organization--such as potential business opportunities.

THREATS--This focuses on the external environment to the organization---competition, government regulations, import taxes, quotas, country's governing body

Trends--This pertains to the environment the organization operates as well as those of the internal and external environment....what happened over the past years.
